What Zechariah is about
Zechariah prophesied alongside Haggai during the rebuilding of the Temple. The first part of the book is a series of night visions. The later chapters look ahead to the end of days. "Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit" comes from chapter 4.
Opening verse
בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁמִינִי בִּשְׁנַת שְׁתַּיִם לְדָרְיָוֶשׁ הָיָה דְבַר־יְהוָה אֶל־זְכַרְיָה בֶּן־בֶּרֶכְיָה בֶּן־עִדּוֹ הַנָּבִיא לֵאמֹר׃
In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, the prophet, saying:
