Privacy Policy

Torah Feed has no accounts and no sign-in, and never asks for your name, email or location. Everything you read, save or set stays on your device. The one thing that leaves it is a small set of anonymous app events sent to Meta so we can tell whether our ads lead to installs and subscriptions. That is described in full below.

What stays on your device

Your reading position, saved pesukim, notes, streaks, reading stats and display settings are stored locally on your device only. We never see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Ad measurement (Meta SDK)

The app includes the Meta (Facebook) SDK for App Events. It sends Meta the following when you use the app:

• App events: that the app was installed and opened, and when a Torah+ trial or subscription starts (the product, price and currency, never your payment details).
• Device and app information: device model, operating-system version, app version, language, timezone and screen size.
• A random identifier the SDK generates for this app on your device. It is not your name, email, Apple Account or Google account.
• On Android only: your device’s advertising ID, which the Meta SDK reads so that an install can be attributed to an ad. You can reset it, or delete it altogether, in Android Settings › Privacy › Ads.

These events are used for advertising and measurement: telling whether our ads lead to installs and subscriptions. They are not sold, and they are not used to build a profile of you by us.

On iPhone and iPad, Torah Feed does not ask for permission to track you, so Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) is never shared and the events above cannot be linked to you across other apps or websites. Install attribution for our ads runs through Apple’s SKAdNetwork, which reports in aggregate without identifying you.

Meta processes these events under its own policy: Meta Privacy Policy. If you have a Meta account you can review how ads are shown to you in Meta’s ad preferences. Turning off “Allow Apps to Request to Track” in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking has no further effect on this app, because it never requests tracking in the first place.

Deleting your data

Everything Torah Feed keeps about you is on your device, so uninstalling the app deletes it. The app events already sent to Meta carry no account of ours to delete; to have Meta remove data held against your Meta account, use the controls in Meta Accounts Centre. Write to us at support@torahfeed.app and we will help with either.

Purchases

The Torah+ subscription and its free trial are handled entirely by the store you installed from — Google Play on Android, the App Store on iPhone and iPad. We receive no payment details. Those transactions are covered by Google’s Privacy Policy and Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your store account settings.

Sharing

When you share a pasuk, your phone hands the text to whichever app you pick. What happens next is governed by that app’s privacy policy, not ours.

This website

torahfeed.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google sets cookies for this and processes the data under its own policy: Google Privacy Policy. Nothing on the website links a visit to your app account or identity, and the app itself does not use Google Analytics.

Children

Torah Feed is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
