What Nehemiah is about
Nehemiah is the memoir of the king's cupbearer who becomes governor of Judah. He rebuilds the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days, and then Ezra reads the Torah aloud to the whole people at the Water Gate.

דִּבְרֵי נְחֶמְיָה בֶּן־חֲכַלְיָה וַיְהִי בְחֹדֶשׁ־כסלו [כִּסְלֵיו] שְׁנַת עֶשְׂרִים וַאֲנִי הָיִיתִי בְּשׁוּשַׁן הַבִּירָה׃
