What II Chronicles is about

II Chronicles covers Solomon, the building of the Temple, and the kings of Judah down to the exile. It ends with the decree of Cyrus allowing the return to Jerusalem, which makes those the closing words of the whole Tanakh.

Opening verse

AND SOLOMON the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.
