Parashat Beha'alotcha

Aaron lights the Menorah. The Levites are purified and begin their service. Those who were impure at Passover are given a second chance a month later, Pesach Sheni. The cloud over the Mishkan decides when the people camp and when they march, and two silver trumpets are made for signals. The people set out from Sinai, and almost at once the complaining begins. They crave meat, Moses tells God he cannot carry this people alone, and seventy elders are given a share of his spirit. Quail comes with a plague. Miriam and Aaron speak against Moses, and Miriam is struck with tzaraat; Moses prays five words for her healing.
